(KSL News) Three people were taken to the hospital after their car was hit by a train.

The train hit the car on the passenger side, near 7800 South and 4800 West, causing a teenage girl to be ejected. She was unresponsive when crews arrived and was flown to the hospital.

The driver and another passenger were also taken to the hospital.

Officials say the crossing is marked with a yield sign. At this point, it's unknown if the driver failed to yield or simply didn't see the train.
