WOODRUFF — Thousands of Utah parents are getting a new tool to help their children read at home.

Read Today students not only get tutors, but now their parents get training and tools. Read Today provides materials that encourage reading at home and help parents better coach children when they struggle.

Her son, fifth-grader Tylan Wiser, now has confidence to read to his younger siblings.

"We probably spend a little bit more time reading than we did because of this program," Tylan Wiser said.
