Roughly one year ago, Utah welcomed Oregon State to Rice-Eccles Stadium holding an 0-4 conference record. The Utes rolled to a 27-8 victory for what would be their first of four-straight conference victories, while the Beavers ended up compiling a 3-9 record at season's end.

Utah enters Saturday's rematch with a similar 0-3 conference record, but the home team has looked much-improved since the last time these two teams met. Oregon State, fresh off its 42-24 win in Provo last Saturday, holds a 6-0 record and No. 8 national ranking as it welcomes the Utes to Reser Stadium Saturday night.

What is the national media saying about Utah's showdown with a top-10 opponent?

ESPN blogger Ted Miller takes a quick look at each Pac-12 matchup.

Jon Gold of CBS Sports breaks down the contest and offers up his prediction.

Yahoo Sports and the Chicago Tribune add their own previews.

Corvallis' Gazette Times points out that although Vaz was able to have success against BYU, Utah will have film on the new quarterback and will be able to better prepare for him.

College football insider Jeremy Fowler also provides a write-up on Vaz.

Ken Goe of The Oregonian suggests that Saturday could be a "trap" game for the Beavers.

— The Oregon State defense will be focusing on preventing John White from repeating his 200-plus yard outing from a year ago, according to The Daily Barometer's Warner Strausbaugh.

Brian Shaw of the Examiner claims that the Utah coaching staff is switching to Wilson too soon.

ESPN's Miller also offers up a midseason report for the Utes.

Yahoo's Pac-12 midseason evaluation includes Utah in its "biggest disappointments" section.

— CBS names Utah as its "most overrated team" in its Pac-12 midseason article, but does include three Utes in its midseason All-Pac-12 roster.

— And finally, Utah is nestled at No. 10 in both ESPN's and CBS's versions of the Pac-12 power rankings.
