This will be two nights before the first preseason game as the Jazz will travel to Golden State on Monday the 8th. While there aren't any particulars released, last year the similar event included a question and answer portion and some entertainment including a rookie dance-off.

The Jazz will bring in four players for training camp to compete for spots. This will include a camp invitee last year, forward Trey Gilder. The other players are Brian Butch, Darnell Jackson and Chris Quinn.

Gilder is a 6-9 small forward who was waived prior to the regular season last year by the Jazz. He spent last year with the Sioux Falls Skyforce and averaged 19.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.

Butch is a 6-11 center from Wisconsin. He spent last year with the D-League's Bakersfield Jam and averages 17 points and 11 rebounds per game in 56 games in the D-League. He has also played in Germany and China.

Jackson is a 6-9 forward from Kansas who has played 138 career games with three NBA teams, Cleveland, Miliwaukee and Sacramento. He averaged 11 points and 6.7 rebounds his senior year in college. Last season he played in the Ukraine-Superleague for the BC Donetsk.

Chris Quinn is a 6-2 point guard out of Notre Dame that has been in the league for five years. He has played for Miami, New Jersey and San Antonio and has appeared in 234 games in his career. He spent last season playing for BC Khimky Moscow Region of the Russian League.
