OGDEN, Utah (AP) - Jimmy Pavel kicked four field goals and Jordan Talley rushed for a pair of touchdowns as Eastern Washington slipped past Weber State 32-26 on Saturday night.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Vernon Adams led EWU (2-1, 1-0 Big Sky) to scores on four of its five drives in the first half. He passed for 75 yards and ran for 62, but missed most of the second half with cramping.

Mike Hoke threw a pair of scoring passes for Weber State (0-4, 0-1).

A forced fumble by Jerry Ceja and recovery by Will Katoa at midfield with 34 seconds left in the game sealed the outcome for EWU. (Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.)
