TOOELE — A box car in Tooele ran over a man operating a tractor at a steel-working company Friday morning.

His co-worker tells KSL that the victim was trying to put on the train's brake, but he fell off. Police Lieutenant Adrian Day says his department coordinated the airlift of the victim to University Hospital.

"We responded to Utah Fabrication for a medical [response]," Lt. Day said. "One of their employee's legs got injured."

Day says the trailer was moving the box car, not a locomotive. He wouldn't release the man's condition, and Utah Fabrication hasn't returned a call for comment. Utah-OSHA is investigating and won't comment until Monday.

We will post more information as it becomes available.
