(KSL News) -- Winter-like weather knocked out power to about 2,000 homes across the Salt Lake valley.
Officials say strong wind gusts downed lines and weather-related car accidents knocked out other power poles.
Most customers have their lights back on.
Crews are on scene, working to restore power to the remaining homes left in the dark.
