(KSL News) "Shop Outside the Box," or rather the big box. That's the statement a parade of people made today as they marched through the streets of Salt Lake.
The group was part of an international campaign to get people to fight big-box retailers by purchasing goods that are made and sold locally.
A coalition of consumer rights advocates, environmentalists and students claim big-box retailers violate workers' rights and destroy local businesses and the environment.
They urge shoppers to "vote with their dollars" against those practices this holiday season.
