(KSL News) Some people in Ogden got up early this morning to say thank you a man who helps keep their neighborhood a little cleaner.

Our Brooke Walker helped the neighborhood give a High 5 to Richard Rice.

Richard's 13-year-old neighbor, Amanda Moldenhauer, nominated him for a High 5 because Richard does many things for his neighbors, including taking trash cans out for everyone on his street every week.

"The heart is a muscle and it needs to be exercised," Richard said. "I got a membership at the gym and it was so busy I couldn't get to the machines. I thought well, I can help my neighbors, and it's a lot cheaper."

Richard also helps with fundraisers and shovels snow from sidewalks in the neighborhood, among other things.

We gave Richard tickets to the Billy Joel concert and some KSL goodies for his service.
