MAGNA — At about 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning, a Kennecott "haul truck" rolled over, pinning the driver under the vehicle for roughly an hour.

A medical helicopter transported the driver to the University of Utah Medical Center in stable condition.

The trucks are designed to haul ore from Kennecott-owned crushers to a disposal site. Justin Jones with Kennecott said that they are still trying to determine the cause of the accident.

"This is very uncommon," said Kyle Bennett, Kennecott spokesman. "I've only heard of one other time this has happened, so we're very concerned about it. It's something we are going to look at and prevent from every happening again."
