(KSL News) The former mayor of Eagle Mountain wants corruption charges against him dropped.

A lawyer for Brian Olsen filed a motion to dismiss seven counts of misuse of public money because the prosecution has not established that Olsen used the funds illegally.

Olsen served as mayor of Eagle Mountain for 10 months last year. Days after he resigned, allegations of falsifying expense reports surfaced.

A hearing on the dismissal motion will be held next month.
