PROVO, Utah (AP) -- A Provo man who was behind the wheel during a crash that killed his two passengers last summer has pleaded guilty to felony charges.

Ben Shaw appeared in 4th District Court yesterday, entering guilty pleas on two second-degree felony automobile homicide charges for the July accident. Stephan Peery, 20, of Provo and Ashley North, 20, of Pleasant Grove were killed in the crash.

A police report says Shaw lost control of his car, hitting a curb. He over-corrected and then crashed into a traffic signal pole. Police found Shaw's blood alcohol level was 0.25, more than three times the legal limit of 0.08.

Sentencing is set for Jan. 4.
