COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 4, 2007) - The 2007 Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Championship will be held at South Stadium this week, and the No. 3 seed BYU team (14-3-2, 4-3-0) will face TCU (8-10-0, 3-4-0), the No. 6 seed, on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
UNLV (10-4-5, 5-1-1) and San Diego State (9-7-3, 4-2-1) are the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds, respectively, and will each receive a first round bye. The tournament will open with No. 4 seed Wyoming (9-9-0, 4-3-0) and No. 5 seed Utah (11-4-4, 3-2-2) facing off against each other on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The winner of the BYU vs. TCU match will play San Diego State on Thursday at 4 p.m., while UNLV will get either Utah or Wyoming at 1 p.m. on Thursday. The Championship match will then be held on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Ticket prices for each session, meaning both games on one day, are $5 for seniors and students, and $7 for adults. A single pass to all five games is $12 for seniors and students, and $15 for adults. Children five years of age and under get in free.
The MWC Women's Soccer Championship semifinal games will be televised live at 1 and 4 p.m. on The Mtn. Saturday's championship game will also be aired via same-day tape delay on The Mtn. at 5 p.m. MT, and nationally on CSTV Sunday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. MT. The match will also be streamed live on the CSTV (www.cstv.com) and Mountain West (www.TheMWC.com) Web sites.
