(KSL News) We now know what caused a fire that sent a thick column of black smoke over I-215 last night.

Fire officials say a wood-burning stove at Rio's Auto Recycling was overloaded with fuel for the night, and some sparks from the stove caught a shed on fire.

It spread to three or four cars in the yard, but firefighters were able to put it out before it reached thousands of wood pallets and another building.

No one was hurt.
