(KSL News) An 11-year-old boy is in the hospital this evening after he was hit by a van while crossing the street.
Police say the boy was on the northwest corner of 3400 South and State Street waiting to cross the street.
When it was his turn to go, he took off on his bike but was hit by a van turning right at the same time. The boy rolled under the van and was seriously injured. It's unknown if he was wearing a helmet.
There is no word yet on whether charges will be filed, or who was at fault.
