(KSL News) Two West Valley City police officers are cleared in connection with the shooting death of a suspect in August.
Christopher Cotton was sleeping in his car in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven when officers approached him to tell him to move on.
Cotton drew a handgun and was fired upon by officers when he pointed the weapon at one of them. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office ruled the officers acted within the law, since they felt threatened.
