Grizzlies Rally Past Idaho 5-4 In Overtime

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies rallied from a 4-2 third period deficit to defeat the Idaho Steelheads 5-4 in overtime Friday night at the E-Center.

Utah jumped up 1-0 in the first period with Justin Bourne scoring his second goal of the year.

The Grizzlies took a 2-1 lead in the second with Scott Burt scoring against his former team before Idaho scored three-straight goals to take a 4-2 third period lead.

In the third, Utah rallied with goals from Burt to make it 4-3 and then Michael Haley scored with 14 seconds left to go in regulation to tie the game at four.

In overtime, Utah got a breakaway goal from Ryan Kinasewich 2:40 into the period to seal the 5-4 win.

In his Utah debut, Michael Mole picked up the win stopping 27 of 31 shots.

Scott Burt (2 goals), Keith Johnson (2 assists), Jason Pitton (2 assists), Michael Haley (1 goal, 1 assist) and Travis Rycroft (2 assists) all had multiple-point games for Utah.

The Grizzlies and Steelheads rematch tomorrow at the E-Center at 7:05 p.m. It is "Pink in the Rink" for breast cancer awareness. A significant portion of the ticket sales and all of the money from the post-game jersey auction will be donated to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
