(KSL News) Police in West Jordan are using Halloween to drive home a point tonight.
They set up a DUI checkpoint on Redwood Road next to a mortuary and cemetery, at 6500 South. The checkpoint also has a theme: "If You Drink and Drive-Choose your Ride." The the choices on display are an ambulance, hearse, taxi cab or police car.
West Jordan police have found in the past, almost half of the fatal crashes on Halloween involve impaired drivers.
Officers will continue with their checkpoint throughout the night.
