(KSL News) Cottonwood Heights city workers may not have saved Halloween, but they certainly saved a Halloween icon.

Pictures taken yesterday show a black cat that was stuck on a telephone pole near Bywater Park. After two days, neighbors called for help.

It took a bucket truck and rescue teams from Cottonwood Heights and Salt Lake County Animal Services to make the rescue.

The cat took off as soon as he was on land again. They're not sure how the cat got up there, but you know a dog is going to take the hit.
