MILLCREEK — Police have found an elderly man with dementia who went missing Tuesday after being placed in a retirement home the day before.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the Kenneth "Kenny" Rogers was located Tuesday night and taken to LDS Hospital, where he is being treated for sunburns.
Rogers was placed in the Highland Cove Retirement Center Monday and was not familiar with the area. He was last seen Tuesday around 9:15 a.m.
Rogers suffers from several medical conditions that require medication for treatment. Because he is also afflicted with dementia, he will likely not be able to find his way home, an earlier missing persons report indicated.
Hoyal did not provide information as to where Rogers was found.
