This is Lane Beattie of the Salt Lake Chamber with your Utah Business Report.

After Aaron Keyser decided to stay in Salt Lake City in the early 1900s, he built several warehouses for various endeavors, including the Keyser Fireproof Storage Warehouse at 320 West 200 South.

Now thanks to U.S. Translation Company President and Honorary Consul to Peru in Utah, David Utrilla, the Keyser Building has returned to its roaring 20's roots. The design, conceived by local firm Lloyd Architects and carried out by Evergreene Construction, has transformed the Keyser Building, whose new building recently received the Utah Heritage Foundation award in the Stabilization, Renovation or Restoration Project category.

The annual Heritage Awards recognizes projects, organizations, agencies and individuals that exemplify the highest standards within the preservation movement.

U.S. Translation Company occupies the third floor of the Keyser Building, while the lower level is home to the Peruvian Consulate of Utah. The first and second floors are currently open for lease and have the same urban industrial feel as the finished 3rd floor.
