(KSL News) Utah's Hogle Zoo is preparing to ask again for funding for a makeover.
The Salt Lake County Council already voted to keep funding for the zoo off this year's ballot. But zoo officials revealed this week that they'll present their plans again to the council as early as next year.
The zoo wants to update its animal hospital, African savanna habitat, and build a new arctic exhibit.
The cost is estimated at $85 million. Of that, $65 million would come from property taxes and the other $20 million from private donations.
