OGDEN -- When you think of spring break you probably think of Florida or California, Disneyland or Six Flags. But there are many family-friendly cities where a great vacation is possible - like Ogden.
Livibility .com asked members of the Society of Professional Travel Writers for their input on the best places for families to vacation for spring break, and came up with a list of ten. Number 9 on the list: Ogden, Utah.
9. Ogden, Utah
8. Las Crucas, New Mexico
7. Gainesville, Georgia
6. Hot Springs, Arkansas
5. Harbor Springs, Michigan
4. Lafayette, Louisiana

"You can do so many different things with a family. It's not just one thing," said Dave Hardman with the Weber County Chamber of Commerce said.
Spring in Ogden means skiing, boating, golfing or the indoor adventures at the Junction, according to Hardman. That's what makes Ogden such a good choice.
"An ideal destination provides a wide range of activities for families with children of different ages and interests," Annette Thompson, Society of American Travel Writers board member, told livibility.com. "There should be things to do both indoors and outdoors as the weather is not something even the best itinerary can predict."
Hardman said they've worked hard to market the area over the past eight to ten years, but there's something else that gives Ogden an edge.
"Our hospitality industry and people in general make people feel welcome when they are here," he said. That makes people want to go back.
