(KSL News) A jewelry store employee is in serious condition this evening after being shot in the face.

Witnesses say a man walked into a jewelry store on 42nd East and 1300 South and got into a gunfight with the employee. At least six shots were fired.

The employee was hit in the body and the face.

The suspect took off in a gray sedan.

There is no clear motive at this time, and it's unknown if the suspect stole anything from the store.
