(KSL News) Utah has a new Teacher of the Year, Hal Adams from Moab High School. He has a mission to make every student know they're needed.
He comes from a family tradition of teaching. Years ago, his father was Iron County's Teacher of the Year.
The first runner-up is Rocky Maughan, a 5th grade teacher from Canyon Elementary in the Cache District.
Second runner-up is Linda Walter, a chemistry and physics teacher from Payson High School.
