KEARNS — A 31-year-old driver died when his car ran into the back of a parked semitrailer in Kearns Wednesday morning.

Lt. Justin Hoyal with the Unified Police Department said a white Honda Accord was northbound along 5600 West at 4810 South around 2:45 a.m. The car drifted to the right and ran into the back of a parked semi.

The driver died at the scene. He was the only person in the vehicle.

Hoyal said drugs or alcohol are not believed to have been a factor in the crash. He said the driver may have been distracted.
