CAMP WILLIAMS — A FedEx employee who allegedly made a joke about delivering a bomb at Camp Williams was charged Wednesday with a felony.
Kevin Coleman, 27, of Salt Lake City, was charged in 3rd District Court with threat of terrorism, a third-degree felony.
The employee was delivering a package to a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers trailer at Camp Williams on Sept. 20 when someone asked him what it was. Coleman responded, "It's probably a bomb," according to the charges.
A military police sergeant then evacuated 215 people from the building and surrounding areas.
Coleman later told police his comment was a mistake, the charges state.
