PLAYERS SUSPENDED
PROVO, Utah (September 28, 2007) -- BYU head football coach Bronco Mendenhall today announced freshmen David Angilau, Brannon Brooks, Ryan Kessman, Ryan Love, Gary Nagy and G Pittman have been suspended from practice for violation of team rules. The players will be permitted to return to practice pending the completion of team-imposed requirements.

The above players were slated to redshirt this season, although Pittman played early before suffering what turned out to be a season-ending injury. Love (RB) is a walk-on, while the remaining players are scholarship freshmen.

One other player (starter) was absent from practice midweek, pending completion of assigned work. His status for travel and play Saturday was up in the air as of late Wednesday. Details to follow as necessary.
