(KSL News) -- The FDA approved Daytrana, the first skin patch for treatment of ADHD.
The patch contains the active ingredient found in other attention deficity hyperactivity disorder drugs like ritalin and concerta. The only difference is the ingredient will be delivered through the skin rather than by mouth.
Experts say this should help children who have trouble swallowing pills.
The patch is approved for use in children age six to twelve.
