This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

The Christian Center of Park City is the ultimate community facilitator between community needs and the generosity of the people. This non-denominational community center includes the largest food pantry in Summit County, a thrift store, boutique shop and engages hundreds of volunteers in thousands of hours of service. It's no surprise Utah is first in the nation for volunteerism.

The main focus for Executive Director Rob Harter is to take care of the needs of this growing community.

This team of dedicated employees is always looking for ways to support citizens. Right now, during the ski season, international students are pouring in to work and ski the beautiful Wasatch Front. Just an example of the thousands of jobs statewide affiliated with tourism-related industries. Some of them arrive with no place to stay and need food, furniture and roommates. The Christian Center found out about this a few years ago and started the Roommate Roundup, which is matching these folks up with potential housing. It runs through December 25.

On Tuesday nights starting in January the Christian Center of Park City will host a special program for these students who get together for a night of free food and activities.

The economic need is not missed on the Christian Center, especially when it comes to helping kids. This year the Sub for Santa program is going to support 500 families, representing around 2,000 kids who will receive gifts and other much-needed items for Christmas. The Park City and Summit County residents have really stepped it up this year and have shown their generosity and Christmas spirit by supporting this important program.

The Christian Center of Park City has been active in supporting the Goshute Tribe with their Backpack Program for the school kids in need. They've now extended this support and reach to a Sub for Santa program this year for the 90 children they're already serving.

Rob said this holiday has been especially inspirational for the Christian Center of Park City to work with people who want to serve.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
