(KSL News) An argument between a father and son escalated into a stabbing this morning.
Salt Lake City police say the two were arguing when the teenager went inside their apartment, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his dad in the stomach and in the leg.
Lt. Isaac Atencio of the Salt Lake City Police Department explained, "The father had to be up early to go to work. He was trying to get the son to come into the apartment and just call it a night and go to bed. The kid didn't want to."
The 15-year-old ran off after the stabbing but turned himself in a short time later.
His father was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.
