This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

With $31.3 billion being spent on interactive and social media marketing like ksl.com, it's no wonder twins Trent and Troy Wardrop have started their own online marketing company, White Label Marketing in Salt Lake City.

Research has shown that search, display, mobile, email and social marketing will be 25 percent of all advertising within the next five years. One of the reasons for this growth is the efficiency of cost per lead for online marketing. It makes sense when you think about the fact that one third of U.S. consumers spend three or more hours online every day.

White Label Marketing likes to focus on mid-size businesses. They start with a deep assessment of the company, their needs and how their competition is marketing online. After this step is completed, they produce a strategic plan to follow and have complete confidence on driving results. By the way, the company is organized so they are compensated based on the results of their strategic plan. Talk about a win-win!

With their understanding of technology, retail and marketing, they bring a level of understanding to the table where they like to generate business while building the brand. This is not meant to take the place of traditional media. Trent and Troy like to compliment and improve the impact of traditional media through developing an interactive plan.

Their overall goal is to optimize the investment with the detailed plan involving strategies, tactics and channels. Their investor, 42 Ventures, which was responsible for growing the largest independent interactive marketing agency, is attracted to businesses like this because they like to, quote, "partner with entrepreneurs to build software-driven businesses that deliver innovative products and services to highly-defined markets."

So, how this benefits White Label and businesses associated with them is the exposure to all the other companies the investor is involved with, therefore adding to the business information platform. After the first year of partnership, White Label Marketing will do a review to manage the return expectation and continue to explore a company's potential.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
