(KSL News) Governor Huntsman will spend tomorrow in Huntington honoring the victims of the Crandall Canyon Mine collapse with a "Celebration of Heroes."
Huntsman says the event is meant as a time for the community to come together and rise above challenges.
"It's important for the families and the community to have a time to reflect on and give tribute to the heroic miners, the rescuers and the families affected by this terrible tragedy," Governor Huntsman said. "But we also must come together to rise above the challenges. In times like these we must celebrate the heroes."
Country musician Collin Raye will headline the event.
It will be held at Canyon View Junior High. Admission is free, though any donations will go the the trapped miners' families.
