(KSL News) The Utah State Library was established 50 years ago in a third-floor bedroom.
Now, half a century later it is a statewide, cutting-edge system.
Gov. Jon Huntsman hosted a gala event to celebrate the library's 50-year anniversary today.
Today, the library system includes a bookmobile service, an online library, state-of-the art technical systems and programs for the blind and disabled.
The library staff say they couldn't be more proud.
