(KSL News) The search is underway for a fisherman presumed drowned in Jordanelle Reservoir.

Other fishermen spotted an empty truck and boat trailer at the ramp this morning. The Wasatch County Search and Rescue dive team began searching and found the boat on the other side of the reservoir.

Rescuers believe the boat got away from the fisherman, and he went in after it.

The missing man is 47-year-old Brian Vance of Magna. His daughter Chelsea says he was an avid fisherman. "He loved it so much. Last night he was in the garage tying fishing lines, and he used to make his own flies. He used to, he just loved it. He would spend every cent he got on his boat."

Rescue teams are also using sonar. They think there's a good chance of recovering the body.
