(KSL News) Police are calling Guadalupe Martinez a suspect, and say he was likely the last person seen with the victim.
Jared Wihongi, with the Salt Lake City Police Department, says, "He did have a relationship with the victim, and there was a history of violence in the relationship, and witnesses state he was one of the last people seen with the victim."
Police responded to a 911 call early yesterday morning to a home at 1054 N. Victoria Way. A friend coming to pick the woman up for work found the woman dead in her front room.
The victim is 39 years old, but police have not released her name because they are still trying to locate and notify her family.
Martinez drives a burgundy Ford F-150 truck with Utah plate number 935 UNJ. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 799-INFO.
