SALT LAKE CITY — The Utes experienced a historic night they got their first Pac-12 victory against Oregon State. Here is a look of what was taking place on Twitter during the game.

The Utes got on the scoreboard first after the Beavers missed a field goal attempt, the Utes' soon after attempted a field goal of their own. The field goal was good from 47-yards out.

Bubba Brown @BubbaBrown8 tweeted, “#Utes drive stalls, but Coleman Petersen makes a 48-yarder—a career long—for 3-0 lead.”

Utah was set up with great field possession after a punt return by by Griff McNabb. John Hays soon after found Dres Anderson on one of his best thrown balls of the season, which resulted in a Utah touchdown.

Michael C. Lewis @Pac12Tribune tweeted, “Just when the jokes about his accuracy hit their peak, Utah's Jon Hays hits Dres Anderson for a 35-yard touchdown pass. Utes lead 10-0.”

The Utah defense answered right back with a big interception that led to a John White touchdown.

Ben Bagley @benbags tweeted, “Defense responds well. Sack causes Mannion to rush throw which results in a Mo Lee pick. Utes in scoring position again.”

Patrick Kinahan @DJPKKFAN tweeted, “Utes up 17-0. Can we all agree that this is the best half of football they've played this season (aside from the turnover fest in Provo)”

John White led the way for the Ute offense with big runs in the first half. White Rushed for over 100 yards in the half.

Sean Mearns @seanmearns tweeted, “Looks like the Utes’ black out affected White the most, his passion bucket must be full”

In the second half the pace of the game slowed and once again it became a battle for field possession.The Beavers finally got on the scoreboard at the beginning of the forth quarter.

Bubba Brown @BubbaBrown8 tweeted, “Beavers finally score after #Utes roughing the kicker penalty breathes new life into drive. 24-7 #Utah.”

Right when Utah could not turn the ball over they did exactly that, as White fumbled on a pitch.

Josh Furlong @JFurKSL tweeted, “And the #Utah offense reverts back to its old ways turning the ball over.”

The defense came up with a huge stop on third and short and in the process turned the ball back over to the Utes.

Ben Bagley @benbags tweeted, “D-Fence!!! D-Fence!!! Utes cause fumble on goal line. Defense tells offense as they pass on the field, "don't screw it up, again!"

The offense could not get out of the end zone and gave the Beavers two points on a safety.

David James @DavidDJJames, tweeted, “Just another reminder, these are 2 bad teams butting heads. Utes holding. Beavers safety and the ball. 24-8.”

The Utes’ defense stepped up and killed all of Oregon's momentum with some huge stops and several sacks. The offense got the ball back and scored a field goal in the redzone in the final minutes making the final score 27-8.

Robert Jackson @rojackKSL tweeted, “Historic game for the Utes. First Pac-12 win, puts them back to .500 on the season (4-4). Defense gives up 32 yards rushing.”
