(KSL News) -- A large new study suggests exercise may help ward off gestational diabetes in pregnant women.
Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health examined data on more than 20-thousand women who had at least one pregnancy.
Women with the most intense workouts before getting pregnant were 23-percent less likely to develop gestational diabetes.
That percentage increased to 34-percent for women who simply walked briskly.
