SALT LAKE CITY — Two years after its debut, the UtahFutures website has gained around 400,000 users and received millions of hits a month.
Operated by the Utah System of Higher Education, the site is geared to be a one-stop shop to help students find information about creating a plan for college. In September alone the site received more than 4 million hits.
Higher education officials say the largest group of users are Utah high school students looking to play their college careers. The second-largest user group is job seekers enrolled in programs with the Utah Department of Workforce Services. The site offers information about Utah jobs, training and education options, career interest surveys and more.
The site is free and users can set up their own education and career portfolios.
