SANDY — Eighty-year-old Geraldine Moore went missing from her Sandy home Friday morning. After a statewide search, she was located around 8 p.m.
In a press release, Sandy Police Sgt. Jon Arnold said Moore was found by a Utah Highway Patrol trooper who recognized her car. Moore did not say where she was located, but did report her to be in "good health."
Family members became worried after Moore left her home at 9 a.m. Friday to get a hair cut and did not return. Police and the woman's family were concerned for her welfare, as she has been diagnosed with early onset dementia, in relation to Alzheimer's disease.
