(KSL News) -- Police are looking for the driver who tried to run over a woman this weekend. It's a strange case. It appears the driver may have targeted the victim, but police don't know why.
On Saturday afternoon a 53-year old women was driving west on 400 South near 700 West. That's when a blue Cadillac hit her car from behind. Police say the driver of that Cadillac then got out of his car and picked up car parts that were on the street.
The victim told police, the man then got back in his car, and tried to run her over.
Sgt. Dave Hoffman, Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "Don't know if it was road rage. Don't know if the suspect knew the victim. Don't have any of that information."
What police do have, is a license plate number. Again, the suspect was in a blue Cadillac, with Utah license plate, 085 NGJ.
Fortunately, the victim wasn't seriously hurt. She was treated at the scene and released.
