SALT LAKE CITY (September 3, 2007) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that pitcher Bartolo Colon will make a rehab start for the Salt Lake Bees when the team opens the 2007 Pacific Coast League Playoffs against the Sacramento River Cats on September 5 at 7:05 p.m. (MST) at Franklin Covey Field.
Colon, a native of Altamira, Dominican Republic, has been on the disabled list since July 24 with an elbow irritation. The 2005 Cy Young Award winner made three starts for Salt Lake this season (2-0, 2.40).
Salt Lake Bees playoff tickets are available by calling 325-SEAT, the Franklin Covey Field box office, at slbees.com or at select Ticket Master locations. Tickets will only be sold for games that are guaranteed to be played.
