(KSL News) -- The city of South Salt Lake is getting some money back for cleaning up chemicals.
A year ago, a tanker at the Roper Train Yard started leaking thousands of gallons of waste ACID. The leak shut down part of the freeway and forced some neighborhoods to evacuate.
Union Pacific, Kennecott Copper, and an environmental company combined to reimburse more than 100-thousand dollars to South Salt Lake.
The companies don't face any criminal charges.
