(KSL News) A family and their pets are safe after a fire at their home early this morning.
Some observant neighbors noticed smoke and flames coming from the back of the home on Wasatch Boulevard near 8300 South around 3 a.m.
The neighbors quickly got the family, their four dogs and a chinchilla out of the house.
Firefighters put out the flames. No word yet on what caused the fire.
