(KSL News) Utah teachers are still waiting for their raise, but in the Jordan School District some teachers are getting signing bonuses.
The district is giving $1,000 to every new teacher as part of a "relocation allowance."
The president of the school board says the extra money gives the district a competitive edge in hiring new teachers.
The district is still trying to fill dozens of positions, including 27 in the special education field.
