(KSL News) A bomb scare interrupted services at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house in Hooper.

A church member found a suspicious envelope in an elevator in the building. The envelope had a message that read "This is a bomb. Do not open or it will explode."

Weber County authorities evacuated church members, while a bomb technician examined the envelope. Turns out, it did not contain explosives, only crumpled up paper.

Church members were allowed back in the building to resume services about two hours later.
