(KSL News) A friend on MySpace turned out to be a dangerous acquaintance for a Hurricane teen.

Police say an 18-year-old girl met 21-year-old David Miller on MySpace and the two had several online conversations.

They agreed to meet last week at a remote location in Hurricane City, where the girl says Miller raped her. Miller has since been arrested and is in jail facing charges of rape and sodomy.

Authorities say the incident is another example of why people should be cautious of those they meet online.
