Sam Penrod Reporting Salt Lake police are asking for your help this afternoon. They need to identify a man wanted for questioning in a shooting. The victim is still in the hospital, after being critically wounded in the shooting yesterday morning.
Police are calling the man a possible suspect and are hoping someone will recognize him and call detectives with information. Above is a photo of the man released by Salt Lake police this afternoon. They say they do not know what his name is or his connection to the victim, but they do want to question him about the shooting.
It was 5:00 yesterday morning, when shots were fired in a Salt Lake neighborhood. A 30- year-old woman was shot, in what has been called a domestic dispute. She suffered severe blood loss and walked a block away to an acquaintance's apartment, when police were called.
She has given detectives very little to go on.
Det. Kevin Joiner, Salt Lake Police Dept: "They've not been able to get a whole lot from her at this point. She was injured badly, so we have come up with this lead in hoping it will get us to the person we need to be talking to."
Again this is the photo of the man being called at this time a "possible suspect" in the shooting. If you know his name, police would appreciate a call.
By the way, Salt Lake police are offering a cash reward for information in this case. You can call 799- INFO.
