A field operations manager with retailer GameStop instructed employees to open boxes of hit release Deux Ex: Human Revolution and remove the coupons bundled with every copy. A spokesperson confirmed to Ars Technica that it is their policy to do so. Ars' Ben Kuchera echoes speculation that it's to prevent customers from playing the game using online services such as OnLive, which compete with GameStop's brick-and-mortar stores and its own internet-based efforts.
