SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Sean Morris made a 3-pointer with 15 seconds left to force overtime and added two more 3s early in the OT to help Colorado State snap a seven-game losing streak with a 69-61 win over Utah Wednesday night.
The Rams (13-11, 2-9) won for the just the second time in the Mountain West Conference this season, with both wins coming against the Utes (12-11, 5-7).
Morris didn't take a shot in the first scored all 17 of his points in the second half and overtime, making five of his six 3-point attempts.
Jason Smith added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Rams, who were 24-for-47 from the floor and committed just five turnovers in the final 25 minutes.
Utah had four players score in double figures, but they were also the only Utes who scored. Johnnie Bryant and Luke Nevill both scored 18, Jonas Langvad added 15 points and Bryant Markson scored 10 for Utah.
The Utes went on a 10-0 run late in regulation to take a 51-45 lead, but couldn't hold off the Rams at the end.
Nevill, who also had nine rebounds, converted a three-point play with 29 seconds remaining, when his layup rolled around the rim several times before dropping through then made his free throw to put Utah ahead 55-52.
But Colorado State, which had just tied the game at 52-all on a 3-pointer by Stephan Gilling, got it to Morris for a 3-pointer and another tie. Utah missed a long shot at the buzzer and the game went into overtime.
Morris opened the overtime with a 3-pointer from the top of the key, then stepped back a few feet for his next 3, which gave Colorado State a 61-55 lead with 3:43 left. Markson answered with a 3-pointer, but that was as close as Utah got.
The Rams shot as well from 3-point range (8-for-14) as they did from the free throw line (13-for-21), making 67 percent from both.
Utah was off from everywhere, making just 19 of 49 field goal attempts.
